I"m not a big blaster but it sure heightens Speed and Accuracy in any groove!

Year 2003, I was 14, and I purchased a PDP for $350 bucks new at Guitar Center w/ Hardware and then bought the Cymbals from a friends Dad for $100

Absolutely it does! Absorbs all of the blow for 0 rebound.
I like to sit on my bar stool, put the pillow on another stool and practice Rudiments varying in speed. Just started this about 6 months...

My Bass Guitar helped me alot with left hand strength and speed, glad i haven't put her down for good.
Bass Guitar players like when you have a feel for how Bass is played as well...
