If you aren't interested in Jazz, I wouldn't do it. There are other styles, and playing drums is supposed to be about having fun.

Congrats! I've always wanted a Saturn, maybe one day I suppose. I got mine at mass music. It was about $800 and it came with a free throne. I needed one; the old Pearl throne was breaking. Haha

Hey guys, I ended up buying a males meridian maple 5 piece shell pack in midnight steel. I absolutely love it. I will post pics soon. Thanks guys for helping me choose my new drumset.

That's a good idea. Thanks! I do however have a Mapex Meridian Maple snare that I'm using. When I get my Sledgehammer back up and running, I'm going to make the maple snare my secondary

Snare Help

Today, while playing my Mapex Black Panther Sledgehammer, i repositioned the snare on the stand to make it a little bit lower. When i took the snare drum off, i noticed 2 of the snares were broken....

Yea, i can probably get a used one sometime. I was looking at guitar center used gear, and i saw a mapex saturn for $400. It was very clean looking, it had two toms and a bass drum, and was green....

I've heard alot of good things about the Sonor series, maybe i should try them out. I think i would rather go for maple drums, so i guess a 3007 could work. i will look into it more

In my opinion Terry Bozzio is just a dude with a big drumset. Im not hating, but i saw a video where it said it was his big solo, and he wasnt doing anything at all, not playing complex, just rolling...

I wonder how soon they are going to announce...they are working on the new album in january so hopefully soon...like in the next few days haha
