FS: TuneBot

In Box. Bought it, used it twice, not a huge fan. Its nice, but I could use the cash more than I can use another gaget.

$85 landed to any non-FPO...

Re: Attention Tune-Bot Owners!

Dig it.

I always tune for maximum resonance.

I love that throaty pitch bendy long tail decay my drums have when they're in the zone.

I just got my tunebot, after poopoo-ing one here not long...

Re: Top-10-Iconic-Snare-Drum-Intros

2X for Two Princes. That was my first thought.

While not Iconic, they are important tunes to me:

Camera Eye - Rush

Dawn Chorus - The Alarm (one of my very, very fav tunes ever. EVER)

Re: your throw off ....where is it?

About 8:30 for me. Always been there.

This is why the Traps snare freaks me out when I play it. The throw off has ("has" as in the best position for this wacky tupperware kit) to be at 6:00...

Re: How many can you name?

There are people who are relevant to me.

There are 'heavyweights' who are relevant.

Not a single one of these 'heavyweights' do I recognize. Doesn't mean they didn't bring it, doesn't mean...

Re: How many can you name?

I can name a few guys.

I can't name any of these 'heavyweight' guys.

That was the point.

Re: How many can you name?

I don't see Peart

I don't see Powell (Cozy)

I don't see Paice

I don't see Pocaro

I don't see Portnoy (holy cow, who knew there were so many drummers with the last name of "P")

Re: How many can you name?

Not one.

Not a single one.

But it has inspired me to pull my slacks up to my armpits, bust out the Vitalis and Wayfarers and start playing the drums in long pants again.

Cool shot. ...

Re: Is jazz dead?

Heehee... sounds like Prog.

There is this movie I love called "the Legend of 1900" - Tim Roth's best work since Rob Roy, for sure.

There is a scene in the film where a trumpet player is...

Re: Best Cases for DW Drums?

What are you transporting your drums in? This will determine the best cases for you.

When I had a truck with a locking shell - I had ATA cases. Got a 7pc kit, with rack, hardware and cymbals...

Re: Remo - No Collar Snare Side Head... Memo to self:

I'm experimenting with my snare - trying new strainers, new heads, die cast hoops, etc.

I read about collarless here on this forum. Never heard of them before.

I have a 2002 DW Crav. Just...

Remo - No Collar Snare Side Head... Memo to self:

Memo to self: No collar = no fit.

Guess I need longer lugs.

Or, you know, a collar.

Re: Pollyanna’s 10 000 posts award retrospective…

Been traveling all weekend - Finally up for air.

Wanted to throw a stick spin and a crash choke into this thread.

Re: Settle an argument please

I throw the snares of between songs at our church.

The buzz is annoying. I throw the snares off all the time. Not to save the snares, but rather to save my ears. I never leave them on...

Gawd... I love Pandora

I swear.. in the last year I've bought more new music than any other year of my life.

100% of that can be attributed to Pandora. I am constantly finding new stuff, new artists and new stuff (to...

Re: Quick Q: New DW Snare has no Born On Date, no Note Stamp, No SN

Yeah - I'm thinking the same thing.

The mag throw off looks genuine, as does the strainer. I'm gonna check the lugs when I get home. It doesn't have the 'tru hoops' on it (better, they're not...

Quick Q: New DW Snare has no Born On Date, no Note Stamp, No SN

I just picked up a new DW Collectors snare.

Red glass, 12 X 5, Maple. Pretty.

the shell has no Re-rings, has no S/N stamped inside, has no Note Stamp, has no Born On date.

I play DW's......

I LOVE the idea of finishing the inside

I'll lose my born on dates and SN's on my DW's.... but whatev.

A cool semi-clear finish with just a hint of color. I play with clear heads... it'd be so great to look at.

Nicely done

Re: Kick drum hoops seem too large

They both are.

The kit is from 1995... I've had it since then. Its been like this for a several years now.

If I tap it around a bit, I can get the hoop to hang over about 1/8" to 1/16" evenly...

Kick drum hoops seem too large

I've had this issue for years - wondering if anyone else has experienced it.

I can't get my Kick Drum hoops to seat evenly on the rim of the Kick Drum head.

There is always this wacky bow.

I hate drums that look like furniture.

That said, a heavy quilting in purple, or a cedar with a sunburst just stop me dead in my tracks and have me drooling.

One day I will own a purple fade. ...

Can't Get Enough Of Your Love - Bad Co

This tune is the reason I play the drums.

Pretty simple stuff.... but for some reason, at this time, in this place, this tune hit me like a lightening bolt and I knew at that moment I'd one day be...
