Got it- Looks like mid 80's version(Monroe) in decent condition- slight pitting here and there, slight rust on hoops, with brand new Aquarian Coated reverse dot on top, Hazy 200 on the bottom, and 42...

Re: "Twangy" Overtones and the importance of reso heads.

I JUST went through this, I stopped playing for ~ 15 years, and just busted out my set again.
I used to play Just Above Wrinkle(they had CS Black dots on them), but wanted more rebound and feel off...

He's got some skills though that's for sure.

Re: Ever see a 'big time' drummer before they were famous? Tell us about it!

Back then, he was the drummer in the band Wicked Witch (in the late 80's-90, they were...

Righty Tighty- Lefty Loosey

Not too many kids deal with gas piping.

Not a deal breaker to someone like me that would just set it and forget it, but I'm of...

Re: What did you pay, back in the day?

Seems you can get great sounding kits a lot cheaper these days.

Around 1987 or so, I bought a very slightly used 5 piece Tama Granstar Custom kit from Daddy's Junky Music in Boston, and they were...

Re: Time for a new stick size?

I use Vater Fatboy 3A's and I love them for durability and.definition.
They have an almost round tip(I use Nylon), and a meatier shoulder compared to the shaft, so they sound bigger than they...
