Re: Gavin Harrison here!

Anybody still using askgavinharrison.com?

I can't afford the current hosting so I've killed it. Per Analytics I was seeing 20-30 visits per day with a fairly high bounce rate. I haven't had...

Re: Gavin Harrison here!

Gavin,

I wanted to get some more material on askgavinharrison.com concerning technique and practice.

One thing I see a lot of is people technique hunting for short cuts on playing. 'What...

Re: worst way to be dumped by a band

I detail a single bad experience out of many many GOOD ones - don't worry about it. 99% of people would rather talk to ya if they're not happy rather than mess with a replace. Replacing a musician...

Re: worst way to be dumped by a band

These stories are horrible!

A good note, the band that kicked me out lost their replacement drummer and called me up to fill in some shows - I was happy to decline.

It also spawned me to...

Re: Egos

I ignore it, and focus more on my ego and keeping it in check.

I've found any time I get an ego something happens to put it in check - I just try and remain professional and not cultivate...

Re: The book that influenced you the most.

New Breed has benefited me the most by far.

Re: How to Write good metal/deathcore drum parts and breakdowns.

So you're basically asking "how do you write metal songs, specifically drums"?

That's hard to answer...

Just play drums with the metal band and try not to over think the whole gig

As for...

No moving...
