Re: Trick double pedal driveshaft

From everything I've read it's not psychological, that shaft is an incredible piece of gear that completely changes the feel of the slave pedal for the better. Have never heard one person that was...

Re: Drum Sheilds

So they were using it during a recording session? That doesn't make sense to me unless they were tracking everyone at one time in the same room

Re: Starting a band...EEEK

I'd say hit up the local pub scene and see what the bands drawing the crowds are playing. It's going to vary area to area I think

Re: Soundproofing small room in apartment

That is the best answer.

You'll be wasting money trying to sound proof an apartment room. To minimize sound transmission between rooms you have to build there is just no way around it. Hanging...

Re: Broke my wrist. Any tips?

9 years ago I broke my distal radius, broke a wrist bone, fractured the top of the ulnar head and dislocated my hand up into my arm. Bad cycling accident. Ended up with a plate and 7 screws to put...

Re: Snare whine

First off are you bouncing the stick in these samples?

Re: Only One Drum Set?

I had one kit for 25+ years and it was my very first kit. Nothing wrong with owning just one. I've been blessed to have my wife buy me one for an anniversary and another in memory of my dad

Re: Is Guitar Center changing?

The one by me seems to be going the opposite direction. Took a day off a while back and usually those days I'm hitting places my wife doesn't necessarily like to go (typically because I spend to...

Re: Anyone just play drums for themselves only?

I did the band thing years and year ago. Got tired of the drama involved. Quit playing for like a year or so (kept my kit and everything it was just packed away) Started attending church again in...

Re: Sound isolation

Two doors is common if you are really trying to isolate, sound that's part of a room within a room construction. I'd replace that hollow core door with a solid wood one.

Re: Sound isolation

To really help isolate sound a room within a room is the best option. Mass and air are your friends when it comes to reducing sound transmission. Decoupled walls, rc channel, roxul insulation, 5/8...

Re: Camera to Record Some Drumming Things for Youtube

The EAD10 is a very cool product. Got a chance to try one and hear it one day at Sam Ash, was very impressive how it sounded with how relatively simple it is mic'd. It's designed to do pretty much...

Re: Drumming leading to eviction

Really depends on the layout of the space he is living. If he's on a second floor and there are others below the bass drum will still be an issue even with mesh or electronic drums. The pedal still...

Re: Mixer for direct monitoring?

Yeah for what you are doing the usb 2 channel out like the Allen and Heath, yamaha and such don't work well for recording. I had a yamaha and that frustrated me. Bought it originally to just...

first pic looks normal like others said for the snare bed. That second pic just makes me cringe. Is that on the exact same side the first pic was taken? Can't see that crease on the inside on the...

Ever have a drumming dream?

I'm not talking about you dream one day of being a rockstar, rather the dreams you have in your sleep. Had one last night where for some reason Steve Gadd was in my basement, I was asking him a...

Re: Throne seat issue?

I'll try that as far as standing up. I've always had my knees lower than my hips when playing . Playing with them at 90* or knees higher than hips has never been comfortable to me. Feels like it...

Re: Throne seat issue?

Yeah these have been at home rehearsals/practice sessions learning the new music. Actually really relaxed. Been a long time since I've sat behind the kit for this length of time
