great drumming on it... very tasteful but also lots of nice chops. I really don't think I could have enjoyed...

I don't think close micing is cheating.

I do think that less CAN BE more at times. Brain from Primus/buckethead/GNR is a great example of this.

Looking forward to the release of the Terror Syndrome album Ryan. Any idea when to expect it? Since SYLs future is always so up in the air I hope I can count on some new metal from Terror Syndrome....

Definitely a fan. I like his work with the Melvins, but when they teamed up with Jello Biafra he really shined. Halo of Flies from the albun Sieg Howdy has some awesome drumming.

He also drummed...

Gene, along with playing on the Dethklok (fictional cartoon metal band) CD that comes out tomorrow, will be part of a Dethklok touring lineup! Mike Keneally will also be filling one of the guitar...
