EBAY! You will find some great deals with Ddrum, and Gretsch drum sets. I've been watching those 2 lately on ebay, and there are some sweet deals going on ebay. Good luck :]

Re: 22" or 24" kick drum ? for emo punk

I'd go for a 24x18, 24x14 or 24x16 for a punch. Alot of your Emo/screamo drummers (Aaron G, Underoath) have a very wide, yet shallow bass. It provides a loud/dead punch. Gives it kind of a John...

Re: Duct Tape on toms

i used to use duct tape on my toms, and they were ok. THey kinda left the drums sounding dead though. not much tone at all. They can damage your head becasue they grip so hard to the surface, that...

Re: DDrum Defiant or Tama Rockstar (Double bassdrum kits)

i normally would say Ddrum, but the Defiant is All Poplar, and if you could get some Birch/Poplar instead, and get 2 more drums, I'd say go with the TAMA. The Tama has birch infused with poplar, so...

Re: Bonham Kits... does any company make them?

Ddrum has the Dorian line which is 24, 13, 16, 18

Gretsch has the Catalina Club Rock which is 24, 9x13, 16, 18

Ludwig's Classic Maple line also has the Bonham sizes

Re: NEW CUSTOM DRUM COMPANY

better pricing than Truth and Phattie for a 3 piece kit. But Truth and Phattie are truth and phattie. Dark Horse still has the best price. not a bad idea, but i agree, how many more custom shops are...

Re: 750, pdp x7 - catalina maple - used ?

I would go with the X7 if its now in maple for the same price as poplar. With it, you'll get PDP/DW quality, with 5 toms, and alot of diversity in setup.

Re: Question on PDP X7

If the X7 is offered in maple now, and its 700 for those sizes and number of drums, then thats a steal of a deal! I would go for it.

Re: PDP Platinum second thoughts

loose the EMAD if you want full resonance. And also the pillows need to go. If you want big sound just use a normal batter head like a Remo Powerstroke III, or Evans EQ 3.

Re: My next drums... Yamaha Gretsch or Phattie?

The Tama Hyperdrive 6 piece ( i sent a link below) has the size toms you want. The bass is 22x20 which is nice. Its just at $1000. Its a good kit.
