Re: What Would A DW Music Section Look Like?

Re: Is the hole spacing the same for new and old Yamaha RCs?

The new Recording Custom bass drums are far superior to the first two versions. I've owned every line, and the new stuff is light years better. I just wish they offered a 14" deep version of the 20".

Re: The 16x14 floor tom

I have had plenty of both sizes, and I prefer floor toms that aren't square.

How new? Have you worked through any books or studied with a private teacher yet? A good book for beginners interested in playing pop/rock is Carmine Appice's "Realistic Rock...

Re: Paiste ownership decimated for now :(

Austin is way too hot. Not Arizona hot, but gross hot. And as for their music? I wouldn't call it "Live Music Capital of the World"; I would call it "Shit Music Capital of the World".

New Orleans...

Re: Does adding this Tom make sense?

Correct. Gadd started the 10" (with a 12") tom craze, right after his DCI video was released. Then Weckl started the 8" and 10" tom craze when HIS DCI video was released.

Question 3, if you select "none of these" and enter text, it still requires selecting one of the options above it. If I am selecting "none of these", that means I don't want to select one of those...

Yes, 12 and 13 will be fine and you can easily get a nice perfect fourth between them if you want.

Re: Snare wires for my Tama SLP Fat Spruce?

They don't choke the drum, unless the drum has problems. They merely attenuate certain frequencies and boost others.

Re: Paiste ownership decimated for now :(
