Find the song on Youtube, go to the settings, little gear at the bottom, and change the speed to 50%, and go fromthere. Then go to 75%, and move on up.when you feel good about it move to full speed.

I have seen woodworkers use small DIY type torches to scorch wood and then clear coat. The small flame evaps some of the wettest fibers and leaves voids. That shell could have had that treatment

If you remember the Cymbals that were Big and Ugly line, they soaked the cymbals in salt water.

My concern with 40 or 42 is the strap or cords being wide enough to put even tension on the width of the snare plates on the end to cause all of the snares to have even tension.. I do OK with 20's

Would you rather that PDP carried DW logos but was called DW Sentry or whatever? Ludwig, one of the biggest names now has a kit that sells for about 300.00 with cymbals. I would stay away from those...
