I looked at that wood snare, and I don't know if it is a optical illusion, but those tension rods look like they enter the lugs at an extreme angle.

I've built my kit out of 5 ply with reinforcing rings toms and bass drums.
My suggestion is 6 ply toms 8 ply bass.

I would say 2 boxes, Put the 14" into the bass drum and put enough packing material around so it does not move and does not damage the inside of the bass drum.
Same with the other two, put the 12"...

It is an amazing set, it is sturdy, a blast to play and tom setup.

and I loved the color then and I like this one now.
