two of the kits you mentioned are good (the catalina and the stage custom) but im not sure about the elements kit. A lot of people on here have the stage...

the "fine tune and more turns" part is true KIS. what i like about it is that it opens up a wide range of tuning between low and high. i especially like this on my snare drum.

i use them to dampen my snare drums. i cut them in half though because a full pieces dampens the drum to much. sometimes ill use 1/3 of the moongel
