Help with 2004/2005 Starclassics!

So, I traded in my '89 Granstar birch and some cash to buy a 04/05 Starclassic birch with a few extra drums. I LOVE it!!! BUT, I can't figure something out...
How do I move the sliding tom mount on...

Re: Placing a date on my Granstars

Really good, actually. The wrap does show some signs of age, being 20+ years old, but really the only scrapes are on the bass hoops. I'm ordering heads today, and throughout next week I am going to...

Re: Placing a date on my Granstars

Re: Placing a date on my Granstars

Wow! I've never actually looked throught the catalogs. So, were the Granstars like the bottom line drums of the time?

Placing a date on my Granstars

So, I recently bought a Granstar shell pack (with some hardware) off of Craigslist. I was wondering if there is any way I could get a timeframe of when they were produced such as the serial numbers...

Re: Mike Portnoy

Yeah, because on the list of drummers, it's people like Bonham, Moon, Peart, Portnoy and then The Rev. He's definitely up there...

Re: Hearing or Isolating the Bass Drum in songs?

Car speakers increase the bass as do certain headphones with bassboost.

Re: Technique Vs. Showmanship

If one is good enough and people care enough, technique becomes showmanship. Chew on that one

Re: Jon Dolmayan

I really gained respect for Jon Dolmayan yesterday when trying to learn the "Know" intro. If anyone checks it out, you lead with your left hand on a crash and your left hand swaps between toms,...

Re: Playing along to songs, help?

If you are trying to cover a song note for note, you will have to have most of the gear (chinas, splashes, effect cymbals, same number of toms, world percussion...etc.) that the drummer uses. It...

Re: guitar center?

Yeah. Our band went to pick up a good mic and look at gear. We had a 10% off coupon which covered the tax. Our guitarist bought a 900$ amp while we purchased the 100$ + tax mic. They took the 10% off...

Re: How do you lay down a drum track in a song?

I saw some band's video of them in the studio and what they did is get a scratch guitar recorded with a click then the drummer would lay his track to the scratch. Then re-record the guitar and other...

Re: Help editing the band roster....

Well, I've got a feeling he was tipped off by the bass player that he was on thin ice. When I asked him if he was coming his answer was a little too perfect and he showed up. I wasn't going to kick...

Help editing the band roster....

Let me give some back story. Our 5-peice band hasn't practiced, jammed, or wrote for about a month. Every time we plan for it, there's some unavoidable event that prevents us from meeting. We finally...

"Hey Houston, do you have drum parts for that riff?"
"I don't know, play it."

"Oh, yeah!"

Re: Just got a noise complaint!

Do you leave the door open? A cop road down my deadend street for a different call and heard our band. He said since there was no complaint, we were safe but we had to shut the door from now on....
