Re: Favorite Drummer?

1. Ian Paice. Why? - I listen to Deep Purple since I'm 2 weeks old. The first record I've ever been listening to was DEEP PURPLE IN ROCK. His work is absolutly awesome and blows my mind away...

Re: Accidentally hitting rims and sticks while playing

Re: Practicing without a kit

Practice with your practice pad! You can't ever be fast enough! And practice rudiments, basics and everything you need to be able for great drumming. If you are good in rudiments and do the rudiments...

Re: What is this?

If you wanna play this rythm you have to feel it and just play the 2nd snare in time. Drumming is much about feeling. If you don't feel the drums, the cymbals, the groove and these things you can not...

Re: Accidentally hitting rims and sticks while playing

I don't care if I hit the rims or my sticks when I'm playing. If you play live you play "true" and that's the reason why you can do mistakes. And I think "normal" people, non-musicians, don't care if...

Re: What drum company is best for me?

No, please DO NOT!

The best cymbals on the world are not good enough when you have drums with a shitty sound!
Spend your money in a good drumkit first (maybe with not so good cymbals) and then...

Re: What's left of my Dad's vintage Ludwigs

Oh my god !

The drums look so awesome! I love old vintage kids from the very early days and that kit is a kit like I really love it! It looks so awesome and I bet it sounds so awesome how it looks!

Re: All time favorite Album.

DEEP PURPLE "Deep Purple in Rock" - The first album and music I've ever heard when I was a little baby. It inspires me so much and I don't know how to explain how much I like the music of this...

Re: Is the snare tuned too high?

No one can say if the tuning of your drums is good or bad. If you like the sound anf I you found your sound, then it's good!

Re: Looking for a new set..

If you're playing mostly rock, then try a Pearl Vision ! They are great rock sets and the sound is awesome, when they are good tuned :)
I also play a Pearl Vision, and I think the sound of the drums...

Re: Asking band members about your parts

When I start to play a groove for a new song we wrote I just play it and don't ask for. And if my bandmates don't like it they say "Hey, can you play the groove like this..." and do a little bit beat...

Re: Too old...?

No one is too old to learn any instrument. If you think you like the instrument, try it and find out if it fits for you or not!

Re: Anyone ever have this happen to them? Hope not.

It's dad that there are people who are doing something like this... If you have a bad performance, it's okay. You can talk about it after the show, but don't ever do something like this... That's not...

Re: Interest loss.

3 hours per day is nothing when you really want to be a good drummer. I know some drummers who practiced about 8 hours a day... But I think 8 hours per day only works with a lot of passion and no...
