Re: Drum Soloing

Drum solos are over-rated. Stick to working on your grooving and your pocket.

Re: Jason McGerr

Both. He sometimes uses his 60 something ludwigs, but I think live he uses the legacy. That groove on grapevine fires is amazing and he plays the shuffle unlike anyone else i've ever see. He uses the...

Re: I WANT to break my cymbal!!!! How?????

I reckon a ton of people do that on purpose when bringing a cymbal back to my work...Sometimes you can tell that they bang away at it with a hammer or something, but we have no proof. Just get some...

Re: cool funk version of "I feel good"

"I Feel Good" is already funky enough. Not bad playing but like vipercussionist, I too feel that it wasn't that funky at all.

Re: Ludwig Legacy Classic - who knows 'em?

Let me just say this much about he legacy kit.... when I played them, that's when my balls dropped. They are just that amazing. Capturing the classic ludwig sound....can't put a price on that, that...

Re: Can I expect a ludwig accent custom elite set to last me?

Do not buy that kit. We had a few kits come in at the store, and the bearing edges were sh***. I'd agree with everyone else and look at some used kits.

Re: Advice for studio please

If you have the Money, i'd get the DTXTREME by Yamaha. Cheaper than the TD20, better than the TD12. IMO, the best electronic kit money can buy.

Re: What kit should I buy?

The Yamaha for sure. The kit kills and the quality for the price is unheard of dude. I've never heard of any problems with that kit, can't go wrong.

Re: What First Inspired You

It was first Johnny Marr, guitarist of The Smiths, who got me into music. Then it all went up from there. The drummer that first inspired me was Larry Mullen Jr.

A decent deal for sure. Renown Maples are great kits, especially for that price, you can't go wrong. Die Cast hoops aswell I believe.

Re: Pearl Masters Custom

I don't like the new master customs. They just don't seem to have the same tone quality as the older masters used to. They are very affordable though. 5 piece shell pack for $2100. Play one before...

Re: Why do a lot of people think that jazz can't be aggressive?

Some people are just very ignorant when it comes to Jazz. They have the impression that Jazz is quiet, calm and laid back. They must've have never heard Tony Williams, Art Blakey play before. Not to...
