OK, let me be more specific. I want a snare that has a nice crack. I play for church, but I play a variety of music ranging from funk to latin. I need something versatile

Re: Pearl Sensitone

I agree. The bronze is killer, it is a great snare with just the right amount of overtones. It sounds great at all tension levels.

Re: Pearl phosphor bronze snares

Yeah, I got the Bronze sensitone the other day, and it is very versatile and well worth the price. Bronze has some of the qualities of wood and some of a metal snare. It is a good snare

Re: best snare under 250$??

I got the pearl sensitone bronze today. It sounds amazing, I love it!

At all tunings, it had a distinct sound with a bite. I love cranking it up, it sounds amazing.

It looks good too.

I'm really getting into the Foo Fighters' songs:Everlong and The Pretender

I'm a huge fan of Carter Beauford, so I love to play-along to Number 41 by Dave Matthews Band
