Re: New Sonor choice!!!!

Sorry to get off topic, but IMO that gold oyster finish doesn't look too bad if you look at it from a short distance away. It does look god awful up close though.

Back on topic, I really think...

2. Not sure as I have never tried one, but I would guess that a crash would almost overpower it

Re: Looking for Ska, learning material

GO SKA! Very underrated genre, I mean come on, rock and jazz in 1? Is there anything better for a drummer?

Anyway, I would just listen to some bands. I prefer...

Re: sorry but i have to, BIG DRUM KITS

I'll stick with a nice 4, or occasionally 5 piece set. I do prefer very big cymbals though :)

Re: JoJo Mayer's SQ2 Kit

I've been admiring Jojo's sound for so long now... He's using an Artist Scandinavian Birch snare, which is really as maple shell with a birch finish.

That's about all I'm good for haha.

Re: Newbie says Hello from Kathmandu, Nepal! Need Ludwig advice.

Re: How to get over a creative rut?

New equipment always helps me. Maybe get some cymbals that are different from what you usually play, like some bigger than usual hi hats. I've heard some 18" hats that sound pretty good (wink, wink).

Re: Pearl VMX vs. Pearl Masters MCX
