3 Trips for me... I use a 4 piece kit all in Enduro Pro cases that stack. Slip the dolly under the stacked drums and that's 1 trip.... Sling the rug over my shoulder and roll the cymbal vault behind...

Also, having said that, I do "like" doing solos. The band and the audience "want" me to do them. The solo should be a satisfying thing for the drummer. It IS a part of what your instrument calls...
