Re: Good Setup?

Even though its all about your preference, I really like your kit.

It looks comfortable to play and looks like it sounds good.

I love 5-piece kits with the one up and two down, i have never...

Re: Rim Shots

For some reason I have been using rim shots lately. They are good for some accents and also I started doing them while practicing my paradiddles and stuff like that on my Remo practice pad.

Re: Foot Position

Well sometimes I play some Avenged Sevenfold. And with heel down I can play "Beast and the Harlot" and some other songs pretty good on the bass drum. I don't know if that's special or not.

Alright I'll probably do that. I want to save up for a Pearl MCX, anyways. They sound very good to me.

PDP X7

From what I have heard on YouTube videos, they sound pretty good. I am thinking about purchasing a new kit in the future. What are your comments on this drumset?

P.S.

I'll be sure to check those out. But for now, my Pearl is doing ok. But I would like to maybe get a new kit in the near future.

Re: Letting go of brand loyalty

I have always loved Paiste cymbals, but at some points I have been wanting to switch to Sabian. I am still with Paiste, but I have yet to see what comes in my future. Same thing for acoustic and...

Can you find me a soulmate?

Hello, me here again. I just wanted to see if you could help me find the perfect kit for me. I love the tones of Pearls, Tamas, and DW's. I like the sound of Mike Portnoy, Neil Peart, The Rev, Jojo...

I do the exact same thing, sometimes I find myself doing that. Then when I get faster I take them down a little bit.

Re: Do You Change Your Kit Setup Often - As I Do

I used to play the standard 5-piece drum position, but I recently switched it up to a more Jojo Mayer like positioning. I never really take drums off of it.

Re: Best Drum Brand For Punk/Metal Drumming

It all depends on preference. Drive yourself down to a Guitar Center or local shop and test them out!

Re: Foot Position

It is most likely because I am 13 and 5' 9' (at least last time i checked). It might be because of my height. I have tried heel up multiple times, I get off-beat and lose tempo. With heel-down I go...

Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan

I know he may not be a legend or he is everybody's favorite, but he was one of my inspirations for drumming. It was a shame losing him at a very young age.

What do you guys think about him?

Re: Building Custom Snare

Yea I understand about the cost. I wasn't really sure where to start, but it seems like a fun project that will pay out in the end if it sounds good.
