Re: Electronic & Acoustic Drums in the same song

Bozzio used some electronic drums when he was with Frankie. Check out his playing on Sheik Yerbouti.

Re: Intersting article on Beats Headphones

I have a pair of Beats Pro and they are okay for what I paid - nothing. I used expiring air miles and my daughter uses them most of the time.

That said, I would love to have a pair of Sennheiser...

Re: Ludwig Black Beauty, just looked them up

Ludwig's Black Beauty snare drums are classics. They have set the standard for brass snare drums.

Re: Buying a Jazz Kit. Help Me.

Catalinas are not "investments"; they are good quality entry level kits with mediocre resales value. How about saving a little while longer and getting a Gretsch USA Custom kit. If you are looking at...

Re: Trying out the Dunnett R4-L strainer

I really like that Mendozart. If I did not have the Millennium strainer, I would get the Dunnett.

Cheers

Re: Anyone else notice the cost of sticks getting ridiculous

I think that the price of sticks are fairly priced for me. I go through 2-3 pairs/year of Peter Erskine Ride Sticks ($35 in total). Compare the price of sticks to that of guitar strings, saxophone...

Re: Poll: Buddy Rich

I saw him in the late 70's. Pretty awesome drummer and I respect his playing ability. But, I am not a fan; he strikes me as an arrogant, self-centered SOB. I would not be interested in spending time...

Re: What's your latest purchase?

Got me an AK Copper Snare (14x6.5") with Craviotto snares. It is a few years old so it has the start of a nice patina.
