If I had the cash... I'm sorry to hear you sold your bubinga kit. I was hoping to hear a good comparison between the Unix and the Spirit drums. Oh well..

Re: Drumwerx quality and value

I don't know that much about DW's or Sonor sq2's but is Drumwerx pricing comparable to those? From what I've seen in stores this pricing still seems high to me. If so then Unix kits are a bargain.

Re: Drumwerx quality and value

So much for the resonable price.. He also has a comment that is a little concerning "... same shells as major manufactures.." or something like that. I wonder if he is using keller shells and then...

Drumwerx quality and value

I stumbled across Drumwerx a custom drum maker. I was wondering if anybody has seen, owns or plays one. From the pictures, they make gorgeous shells and if they sound and are constructed as good and...

Re: Why are Rudiments Important

All, I think the point was lost someone where in this thread. The point is that rudiments are important because they teach stick control which can be expanded from snare to an entire kit to produce...

Has any one cut down ludwig power toms

I am considering cutting down my 80's ludwig power toms to standard depth. Aside from having to put new bearing edges I am wondering if there are any problems in doing this. It looks like I can cut...

Re: DW at Best Buy

I was comparing what I saw at BB to one that I played on at GC and with just a visual inspection the hardware wasn't the same. Both were about the same in cost but the fit and finish of the hardware...

Re: DW at Best Buy

Like I stated before, The DW kit that our local BB has is expensive and had to have been a lower end kit. Not even as nice as what our Guitar Center carries. Not worth the coin IMO
