Re: Which way do your snares go, and why ?

between 7 and 8 oclock, pretty much right next to my left knee so i can turn them on with my left knee if its the right throwoff. also then the badge of the snare usually faces the crowd.

Re: Just got a Pearl Reference Series kit...

to me those toms sound good, but a bit higher than where i'd usually have them. especially if you're using a 2ply skin.... kick is nice though.

I've discovered a little thing about moon-gels and how they work on Toms/Floor Toms.

Now you see people mostly put moongels on the top/batter side of toms, but i noticed it literally wasn't doing ANYTHING for my drums (might be due to die cast hoops? i dont know...) - So i put it on...

Re: Tama PM326?

$350 is a bit steep i think.... if it was $350 with brand new skins top and bottom and new snarewires then i'd take it, but without that i'd say $250, $280 at max.

Re: Pearl Fiberglass 70's/80's kit?

i own a fibrestar, it's pretty cool. 22x14 kick drum is killer, awesome awesome kick. tuning range on toms isn't that great though, only sounds good in a certain range. it also has rounded over...

Re: Which SNARE do you recommend? (indie brit pop music)

grab whatever snare you have (assuming its 14") and put an old 12" tom drum skin on it upsidedown, so that the two skins touch... it'll deaden the snare to sound like that.

Re: Problem with my 13in snare. HELP!
