Re: Snare Cord - What Knot?

Re: I think I'm losing it

Re: Judge Says Teen Drummer's Playing Isn't a Nuisance

HOA's do suck... until you need them. My neighbors 26 year old boy-child has never left home, never held a job, occasionally deals snakes and breeds pits who are maltreated and bark incessantly in...

Re: Photo: Joe Morello & Buddy Rich Sharing Ideas 1961

Re: I'm overwhelmed

If not a teacher then at least an assessment.

Here's a couple of examples of what preps are or might be needed for entrance into a music curriculum. Not that you wish to go thru that course of...

Re: I re-cut my bearing edge today

You altered the edge of a '65 Slingerland? Do you consider that a mistake or an enhancement?

Re: I re-cut my bearing edge today

You all seem to forget that drum making isn't exactly rocket science. I think manufacturing would like us to believe that but look back at the essence of the craft and you will find drums...

Re: RIP Aker Bilk

As soon as I read this I could hear that song Strangers on the Shore in my mind. I haven't thought of that song in decades. Wow... music leaves such an imprint in our memories.

Re: Importance of a good drum throne?

Honey Bunny got me a great throne about 8 or 9 years ago. How good? It is still holding up just fine. Well worth the money.

I picked up a cheapo at a pawn shop a couple of years ago ($10) for...

Re: Craviotto, C&C, Brady, Gretsch, Other?

Re: why I wring my hands in aggrivation, but still bought . . .

In my mind it's all relative. Do you want a metal shell sound? Get a metal shell. If you want a wood sound, buy wood. I personally like steel for the metal sound, but I don't like the corrosion...

Re: Country drummers!

I like country, it Rocks... which leads me to believe in fusion.

Get a tight rocking band, throw a pedal steel, banjo or a fiddle in there someplace, perhaps a mandolin and it's suddenly...
