I have a Pearl VBX in concorde fade. all have Evans EC2 skins on. snare has HD dry, kick has EQ4 batter with an eq3 coated reso.

in a live situation, overheads are really only used to pick the cymbals up really. if you have decent cymbals, then they shouldn't be needed. if ever you needed to mic your cymbals up, it would be at...

sorry for the late reply bud, that's what I tend to use when recording. live tends to be different. kick, snare, all the toms close mic'd and that's it really, maybe the hats depending on the venue....

I cant quite answer your question as im not familiar with the kit, but you could always mount the drum off a cymbal stand? you can get a clamp which attaches to the cymbal stand, and then the tom arm...

cheers. i forgot to mention, i dont have a kit set up at home, as my drum room, is now a nursery :( i plan on practicing yo a click just using my sticks on my thighs. i cant think of any other way....

heres the riff. he has added some atmospheric stuff which has taken alot of the impact away from the riff itself. ive asked for the bass riff only so i can practice to it.

hi guys and girls. the bassist in our band has pretty much wrote a song in 3/4 time. the "riff" is 7 bars long which is odd.

right, the problem. i can play a 3/4 beat but im lacking inspiration....
