Heel down for normal 2,4's and foot hihat opening (not perfect yet), heel up for power. You need to play it a little faster for heel up though to get the perfect XoXoXo sound. Leg feels really tired...

Its on a carpet, and i'm using the stock stands from tama swingstar

there are no problems with normal playing, its just the heeltoe (without hands) hihat opening technique that kicks the stand...

well i think i've achieved the sound i want. i loosen the batter head and the btm head like you said so and it did get that pucking thucking sound. i'll remove the tapes...
