My first kit was a Tama Stagestar. But when I finally got a new kit i couldn't sell it so i just gave it to my brother. So now I have two drumsets in my house.

Ok well DW has many different options like VLT etc. I would suggest going on their website, seeing what they have to offer, compare that to the Ludwigs. See which one you think you would like better....

Well the SC are top notch drums, and the catalina's,not so much. They're still great drums, but I think you could do alot more with that all birch kit, especially because I dont think TAMA sells all...

Are you actually considering buying one of these or are just asking to ask. Because neither are that cheap (unless you found a great deal used) and a lot is taken into consideration when buying one,...

Tama has the superstar, Pearl has the VMX and th VSX I believe. Gretsh has Catalina maple. Those are just a few brands. But you could also get a used pro kit on ebay for the price of one of those new...

I know Rathkeltair(probably mispelled) is a good irish band. Really good rock band with good irish folk mixed in. They played at a local irish festival and my local Irish pub on St. pattys day
