Re: Ignorant, Closed-Minded, Stubborn Non-Drummers?

Re: Ok I'm Back With ANOTHER One Of These Threads...

That's looking like a nice kit. What's the grand price total, if you don't mind me asking?

Re: pdp 805 drumset

Yeah, it's a 13x8. All the bigger sizes...24" bass, 14x6.5" snare, etc.

Yup, you guys are based where my cousins love, in Midlothian. Next time I visit them, I'll definitely check you guys out.

Re: Custom snare?

Re: Custom snare?

I was emailing with someone at UDRUM, and he was very nice and helpful. They can make the drum cheaper (around 400) by taking off the nice throw-off and replace the diecast hoops with triple-flanged...

Re: Selling my kit, need help with the $

Sorry, but it's honestly not worth much. A used music store I went to once offered to sell me a Pearl Export like that for only $250.

Re: Ok I'm Back With ANOTHER One Of These Threads...

Plus, I love the feeling of being surrounded by a rack. Honestly, you just feel so pro.

Re: Ok I'm Back With ANOTHER One Of These Threads...

Yeah, if you plan to have a monster set up, get a rack. I like the 3-sides, rounded Pearl Icon rack.

Re: Custom snare?

I ride my bike EVERYWHERE...it's so fun. Although I'm lucky enough to live in an area where bike paths wind throughout the entire city/town

Re: Custom snare?

Well, there's this small music shop, but they barely have anything. And then there's Best Buy. That's all.

However, there is Chuck Levins, a famous music place, in Maryland, about an hour away....

Re: Custom snare?

Well, it seems like the Black Beauty is the consensus so far. Seems like I can't go wrong with it.

Let's see, $525 for the 5x14 at Steve Weiss...

Re: Custom snare?

I've been playing for 6 or 7 years now, but only seriously for 1 year.

And maybe you're right. Although I play so many styles now, my taste can hardly change!

I guess I'll have to think this...

Re: Custom snare?

Oh man, that's a big list...I don't even know if I could answer all those. That might be one reason why an already "decided" one would be better.

Re: Custom snare?

Wow, that's a really good point. I've never heard a Black Beauty in real life, so I'd have to watch videos and take your word for it.
