Update: JB will be released from hospital in Japan soon and his wife is going to fly to Japan to bring him back to Florida. They still needs your support!

I love Japanese drummer Takeo Moriyama - the second drummer in this video. He was the drummer for Yosuke Yamashita Trio from 1969 to 1975.

R.I.P. Munetaka Higuchi

Munetaka Higuchi, the drummer of Japanese heavy metal band Loudness, passed away in the morning of Nov 30 because of liver cancer. He was 49 years old.

Yes, I agree that ONJQ (and ONJO) is one of the best working Jazz band today. Very unique and avant-garde, but at the same time their music is strongly based on the past tradition of Jazz.
