Like: 40s, 50s, 60s, and the best of the 70s.

Right ...lugs around the bed need to go higher -but its not accurate for tuning ..not even close. I surprised the design went from idea, to prototype, to mass production. Are any shells still being...

A drum must be able to be tuned perfectly, and the snares should be indpendent. Snare beds won't allow for this. Giant compromise if you ask me.

Snare-bed creates an open gap between head and bearing edge ...impossible to get a proper tuning. Is there a way around this problem?

I wear leather gloves (brown) ..nothing else, just the leather gloves.
