Re: Hands up fans of 13" diameter snare drums

I got a 13"x6.5" Reference snare two years ago and I'm absolutely in love with it! My Pearl 14"x6.5" Brass Free Floater is sitting on the shelf.

Re: ChickenFoot??

I must admit for such a great line up I am a little dissapointed.

Re: HeelToe Question (Not Technique)

Not at all!

Re: traditional grip!!!!!!!!!!!????????????

Maybe you should loosen up your grip a bit.
I usually play matched but when I play trad I find the rebound to flow much easier.

You could add Vinnie Colaiuta in the list.

Anyway I own a Pearl Reference and all I could say is that they are amazing drums and are of top quality.
Between those drumsets you pointed out, it...

Re: getting rid of wash from cymbals

If you don't want to buy a new ride you could put small pieces of tape on the back of the ride. The more tape you put the more dry it will be.

I've tried it and it sounded very thin . But you could blame the Ambassador head that was on, maybe an Emperor would do the job on that snare.

Re: pearl vision individual drums

Hmm your friend has to go to the shop that he bought the Visions and order the extra toms.
Or I think he could also mail Pearl and get the toms directly from them.
