Just listened to "Modern Love" today, what a great drum track. He didn't do the "pile driver" on every track, like "Addicted To Love". He was a Bonham guy and had taste. Miss him a lot!

I, too, am looking for a replacement for the spurs. I cannot even get mine to tighten properly. Gretsch drums sound incredible while at the same time setting the bottom of the bar for hardware...IMO...

There's not much I can add that hasn't been said before. Stagnating, never practicing, letting the grass grow underneath his bass drum pedal. And he definitely pushes time, as in Blackened. Back...

Definitely one of my Top Ten influences, even since Misplaced Childhood in 1985. Got to see them open for Rush on the Power Windows tour, where they played 99% of the album straight through!
