Re: The Official Oriollo Seamless Spun Copper Kit Review

I think a 20x12 at 2mm would still be fairly heavy. Obviously less than the 14x22 but my 16x14 2mm floor tom isnít light by any means.

Re: The Official Oriollo Seamless Spun Copper Kit Review

Because Iím doing my overheads in recorderman and running them fairly present in the mix I think it even lessens the effect...just kind of helps clean things up a little so itís easier to hear whatís...

Re: The Official Oriollo Seamless Spun Copper Kit Review

Not much...Theres a little big of reductive eq on the kick and toms around the mid eqs just to help hear the tone and not so much of the sympathetic frequencies from close micing, but thats about it...

The Official Oriollo Seamless Spun Copper Kit Review

First Off/Disclaimer: I have been playing and reviewing Oriollo drums for a good while now. It all started with a single 5.5 aluminum snare. I compared it to five other aluminum snares, and liked it...

Oriollo Spun Copper Kit- Preview Thread

Hey everyone,

While I am planning to do a full review video on this kit, I did want to share a quick preview and some initial thoughts. First off, this kit is heavy. Much heavier than steel and...

Re: The ALUMINUM Snare thread.

Not trying to be that guy, but I borrowed a buddyís luminary...and to me it just felt dead and dry. It sounded great recorded...but I didnít like playing it as much as I thought I would.

Re: All copper shell snare

Nobody makes a copper drum like Oriollo. They are simply incredible. I have a 4X14 and a 6.5X14 and of all my drums, the copper always gets the most compliments. Highly recommended

Re: Should I trade?

Those hoops look like some type of variant of a single flange hoop...but not the traditional diecast. As far as how the two compare is your pork pie the same size? I think those shells are going to...

Re: The Oriollo Bakar 40 Review - 14X4 Seamless Spun Copper

That 16x5 did a few sounds really well but trying to use it on the stand was hard. I should have put it on legs. I found the sound I was trying to achieve when I originally designed it in my 15x6.5...

Re: The Oriollo Bakar 40 Review - 14X4 Seamless Spun Copper

That’s a very fair question and I don’t see it as busting my chops. Reality is the answer is not really. The Oriollo formula just works. These are very well made seamless spun or cast shells whether...

The Oriollo Bakar 40 Review - 14X4 Seamless Spun Copper

The back-story: If there was a meeting for Oriollo addicts anonymous I would probably have to attend. My collection thus far includes 9 snares and 3 kits. I use all of this frequently, and really...

Re: Metal Drum Kits & Jazz

The Oriollo kits don’t sound “metal” really. There’s a lot of guys that have bought the spun aluminum that are jazz guys and use them for jazz. I’ve heard great things of them being used in that...

Re: Black Beauty or something else?

My favorite metal snares are my Oriollo seamless spun. They come in brass, copper, aluminum, and steel. These are incredible instruments...super expressive and musical. Canít go wrong. Love mine.

The best snare Iíve tried/owned is my Oriollo 1.2mm spun brass Encore. Itís just an amazingly musical instrument....so sensitive and so much warmth and character.

Another that really stuck with...

Re: Memphis Drum Shop- Is it me, or is this drum shop snare demo really unkind to the drum?

Pretty standard low tuning. I think it sounds pretty good but obviously you need more tunings to determine the range of mother snare...but it is a kit demo.
