Re: Bid like a man!

Lookup for ebay sniping. There's plenty applications out there. Ultimately it's a good thing, because you bid on the maximum you're willing to give for an item. If you lose, though luck because you...

Re: You and your practice regimen, come clean

It's def no fun practicing on the pad, but the true reality is that it works wonders for your technique so I do 1h a day on it.

Unfortunately, I still haven't managed to find a place in London...

Re: My speed has stalled

I would just get some lessons to sort out that technique. May I suggest my teacher Christiaan Oyens that studied with Murray Spivack. He'll get you that technique sorted

Re: Acoustic vs electronic drums: are they catching up?

Guys, I've been a bit away when it comes to electronics... The high end kits still don't even feel close to the acoustic ones correct? I mean in terms of feel. I'm not so much bothered with the sound

Re: Meytal Cohen? She plays, right?

Indeed. Those bass drum notes together with the snare are definitely not tight, she flam's them, so I guess it's her :)

Re: D'Angelo - Black Messiah

Honestly, and being a long time D'Angelo fan, I didn't manage to connect with the album yet. My biggest grip is the mix. Everything sounds so muddy and hard to distinguish. Most of the times one...

Re: Playing 15 years, terrible stick control

After 16 years of playing I had to restart from scratch to fix my technique. Actually, all students of Murray Spivack had to do the same, such as David Garibaldi.

Now if you feel frustrated,...

Re: Now a morning drummer

Even when working on my chops, I find that doing it in the morning works way better than when I arrive from work. Naturally one has more energy in the morning and is not tired from a day of work

Re: LDS - Superb drums & rhythm tap - video.

I have to be honest here: I think the idea conceptually is great to mix both, but the composition of the songs are in my opinion a bit lacking. It's too much drum oriented and not so much groove in...
