i was always under the impression that playing across the barline could be anything that deviates from always starting on one and ending on one...

thats all true, but surely when it comes to the "crunch" at the end of the day, what makes a drummer is not how you look whilst playing, but how you play?

i may be wrong, but i personaly dont...
