Absolutely soul crushing. Im not only quitting playing but also listening to music...well Ill listen to music but not the drums, never the drums, not anymore, not after what they just did to me.

Ok this'll be humiliating, already regret it, lol. At work, a call every two seconds, through crappy speakers, took about 30 seconds for each song, didnt get a chance yet to listen in...

Id love to take this challenge! I used to lose my mind when I was a younger drummer and older drummers could identify drummers by ear. Later I found I was able to do the same sometimes....and nothing...

Perhaps because they are relative contemporaries Herbie trusts in his knowledge and familiarity with a multitude of past and contemporary styles, and has developed a comfort level working together....

This thread makes me think of that Medeski, Martin and Wood tune that speeds up and then slows down, can't think of the name. Cool exercise in group acceleration and deceleration.
