Also wanna mention that I bought an add on tom last year and born date was written in pen on the label opposed to printed like my other drums

Mine are 2009 with label. Label includes note and born date. My drums were all born between april 18-21 ... funny how I was born the 23 and I bought them used without knowing

I agree with you guys on the 12/13 overlapping. When I first bought a kit 10 years ago, I set it up myslef with no idea on how to tune. I did notice that the 12 and 13 sounded the same when all set...

How are the bearing edges on them? Are the hoops the regular ones or the slight thicker ones?

I use to have my dw kit in a big room. The sound would travel farther so didnt have a problem. The kit sounded great. Once I moved it into a way smaller room, I noticed that the kit...

Tuning to the room is true. When I mentioned before that my drums resonated too much I had to mess with the resos to cutnit down a bit.

Yup! Room make a difference. My kit use to be in a bigger room and it sounded great, now its in a smaller one and it tends to resonate more....louder too
