I started learning open-handed playing too some time ago. Of course, I dont practice it as much as I should, but right now I play the simpler beats with my left hand on the hats. I keep playing...

I've tried both the Moeller and push-pull, granted, I havent practiced them for a very long time. Also, the push-pull is a bit better with my right hand.
I can do push-pull at a pretty average...
