Mate, I had no idea. I'm glad to hear you're back and you have been so well looked after. You're a much-loved man and for damn good reason. There's nothing I can say that hasn't been said already...

Re: A Non-Anonymous Section..?
All good here. Completing our purchase of a house today, trying to move on in my job and doing some side work and will hopefully be doing a big, big show (techie) in month or so in a 1,200 seat...

Re: A Non-Anonymous Section..?

Re: Options for miking drums
Interesting. Generally I don't recommend Glyn Johns for live applications for four reasons:
i) It requires quite a lot of precise measurement to be effective and not have phase issues - which in...

Re: Options for miking drums
The sound mixer is a good product but I think you're much better off getting separates.
There isn't much of a price difference if you buy a separate system and the Sabian system is very limited if...

Re: Options for miking drums
Samson are a reasonably budget live choice. I've had some fair results with them in a studio setting but I've had much better results from other microphones - my current work studio has a set of...

You have got this. Absolutely. There's absolutely no reason why you can't play very well with practice.

Re: Why don't pop songs have real drums?
In terms of songwriting going 'downhill', I'm not sure if that's the case but if it is there is a plausible explanation.
Record companies have been in trouble for a long time now, trying to make...

I can mostly get along with Simon Phillips. His session playing in the 80s is unparalleled. I can usually tell its him without having to check any notes but the playing still sounds perfectly...
