A rent-a-crowd might (I say might) sway the judges at an iBC regional ... Not at the finals. The IBC is 30 years old and the biggest event like it in the world ... check put their website it spells...

Designed to be miced (it has one built in), this is a converted 13x11 Pearl rack tom ... the batter head is a Pinstripe
with a light foam mute covering the whole head. Used just acoustically it has...

and bought a like new Ludwig Black Acrolite to replace it for $80 if I remember ... perfect match.

I bought a 5x14 Ludwig CM with die-cast on it and also replaced them with 2.3s, same result I'm happy to say.

However I also have a 6.5x14 CM that sounded great but...

I would imagine they would sound very different facing a corner vs facing the room ...

Into a corner the sound is reflecting right back at you and a corner "loads" the bass response in effect...

And that same age factor has me having little understanding of the bands today
that can only play 35 minutes at some...
