as Jonescrusher said, you NEED a metronome, the metronome will help your timing and with that you will feel a lot mor secure when playing with others.

Yes, my kit is a TAMA Starclassic Performer and I really think these drums sound very well, however you must try to listen to all your options and make your own decision.
