Re: DW Performance color poll?

Hold on there, I've got some Black Mirra pics for you! It's my personal favorite, but if you're set on the stains, you can't go wrong with either one, though I prefered the cherry stain. Ignore the...

Re: DW Performance Series Drum Kit Review

Great review, I agree with everything. They're magnificent drums. I noticed you kept your stock heads too, but I'm getting ready to replace mine. I was thinking coated G2s over clear G1s on the toms....

Re: How to get gigs

Well, I'd start by finding some people around your school or neighborhood that can play at your level or better, and try to start putting a band together. Than just look around for places that you...

Re: Tom angles!!!!

My Christmas gift to the people of DW!
The horrendous angles, the too-high crash cymbal, the uʍop ǝpısdn floor tom!

Re: Any new kits for christmas out there?

UPDATE: No idea what's in the box. The reason I know this is because I decided to check a place where my parents frequently hide presents. My mom stopped hiding stuff there because I figured it out,...

Re: Any new kits for christmas out there?

Well, I dropped some hints, and there's a box under the tree that's just about perfect size for a 6.5X14 DW Performance Snare in black mirra! I will update tomorrow!

Re: Okay, so how are the DW Collectors'/Performance series drums?

So far, all us guys that have bought a Performance kit absolutely love them. I've got mine in the Black Mirra finish, and there is absolutely nothing to complain about with these drums. They tuned up...

Re: My new Neil Peart Pro-mark Time Machine sticks.

My go to sticks. I picked up all three of the differnt variansts on them, just because they were so cool. Now I'm just waiting for Rush to come back to town, so I can get Neil Peart to sign 'em. :D

Re: Modifying a 3 legged high hat stand

Yep, this is what I did with mine, but mine swiveled easily by loosening a few wingnuts. Didn't have to mod anything.

Re: Modifying a 3 legged high hat stand

Here's what I did. I spun the three legs so that one of the legs is at about a 10 to 20 degree angle on the opposite side of where the pedal will be (using the center post of the stand as the...

Re: Does replacing stock heads make difference?

Yes, absolutely. I had Imperialstars for years, and the stock heads stunk, but I couldn't afford new heads, so I wore them out. When I did switch them out for some quality heads, my kit stopped...

Re: Ordered a DW Performance Kit

The Black Mirra is incredible. THere is no picture online that really does it justice. I was set on the red cherry stain until I saw the mirra in person, and I knew that was my kit. They knocked 300...

I'm wondering why yours and mine took so long when Konaboy got his pretty quickly. I declare shenanigans.

The symbles have marks on them. And check out those 7 pieces.
I never even knew Harmony made drums. My first guitar was a Harmony Strat copy.

Post your Black Friday drum finds!

It's black friday, and deals are everywhere. I personally don't care too much for staying up until 4:00 AM to camp out at stores, but I did go up to Explorers Percussion this morning and came back...

Re: Black Cymbal Stands

Not the DW hardware you're looking for, but it seems pretty sturdy, and it's fairly cheap.

Re: Ordered a DW Performance Kit

No, I got them to knock about 300 bucks off the price by keeping the snare as a floor model. I love my Pearl steel shell, and have used it in all my main kits.
