i do. over the years i've learned, with cowbells bigger is usually better. mine is a 12inch.

i have 10inch timbale which i use as a substitute cowbell if i haven't set mine up at a gig.

i strongly advise my pupils to use art of bop and similar books but the problem with books is that you tend to quickly memorize the bar and can't be sure your are actually sight...
