Thanks for the advice and offer of the HW fourstringdrums. I live in Ireland so shipping wouldn't make the deal work for either of us. This is the toughest decision, both kits are so even all things...

I tried out the 2 kits today. The Yamaha has a more powerful bass kick and a fuller snare, but the Tama tom's give a fuller, longer lasting sound which the guy in the shop tells me is down to the die...

Thanks Les, great advice. You have swung me in favour of the Tour Custom with your arguments, it's worth the extra few hundred to get a 100% maple kit, which is better built, better sounding and...
