Sometimes it is good to just take a break. Just put the sticks down, or pedal, and just go do something else. Maybe even stop a day or two. Just give yourself a rest and get your mind off of it,...

If you are marching in a show, look to see where your sets line up with the music so you can remember I play so and so groove when I am at so and so move/set.

Also, look for patterns in the music...
