Re: Bobby Jarzombek here!
I had no idea that you are on here. I am really impressed with your double-bass playing. I am working on it myself. I need to get me some Axis pedals. I got big feet and they would help.

Re: Phil Rudd
The only way to describe Phil Rudd is "Simple Perfection". He doesn't do anything too fancy. He just does what fits perfect with the song. He is definately one of my favorite drummers. To bad he was...

I know that trick. Can kind of do it. It is harder than it looks. I am learning to do it with a pencil and can do it with the stick. Do you you spin around the thumb using your middle finger? thats...

Re: STICK TWIRLING AND SHOWMANSHIP TECHNIQUE.
I know what you are talking about. If you do it fast enough most people won't even notice you went through all the fingers. I can do it moderately. The trick I like is called Walking the dog. It is a...

Re: Any Left handers play a right handed set?
[QUOTE=Rick Wilkinson]That is an interesting combination but if you play a right-handed setup, the right hand lead should be an advantage. If you play a left-handed setup you can use it to your...

Re: Most Under-rated Drummers
i think Phil Rudd fits this thread perfect. He is in two words Simple Perfection. Everything he does fits AC/DC perfect. He never does anything too fancy. He just does what the song asks for.

Re: Any Left handers play a right handed set?
I'm a lefty and I can play right handed. I have a ride on both sides of my set. But I ussually play with my left foot. I also realized that even though I am a lefty, I lead roles with my right hand....

Re: New snare
I agree with Dog Breath. It is impossible to choose a snare based on what people want. Snares are like fingerprints. No two are the same. You should really go to a music store and choose a snare. And...

Re: I'm here! - Billy Ward
Great drummer among us. But I would like to ask a question. What kind of hi-hat do you use? I think it is a 12''. Is it a mini hat or can I get a 14'' version? I love that clip of instructional...

Re: socks? barefoot? shoe?
I am a 13 but my feet are also extra wide. My shoes are 13 4EE. With shoes my foot cover the pedal to the point that I have no control. I can't do any sensitive foot work wearing shoes.

Re: socks? barefoot? shoe?
I play barefoot at home and socks at gigs. I can't wear shoes. My feet are too big. With shoes my feet wouldn't even fit on the pedal. One time at a gig I put my shoes behind me while I was playing....

That is true. With a bassist as good as Flea you need a great drummer. My band plays Soul To Squeeze. In order to properly learn the drums to that song I learned how to play the bassline. It was...
