yeah i'd definitley advise you to move rooms, along with some of the other suggestions in the thread.

Also, what the walls/floors/ceilings/etc are made of may make a difference.

I do a similar thing with my toms. I usually tune the hardest drum to get a good tone out of first (my floor tom), and then use a tuner to see what note it is tuned closest to. I then tweak the floor...

i mean something like this... do you keep a steady 2 beats per click for every 8th note or do you fit 3 8th notes into one click once you hit 6/8

okay, lets say you got a peice of music in 4/4, with straight eigth notes, which then switches into straight eigth notes in 6/8

I've got it on my 13in pearl wood snare and i get a ton of ring unmuffled, and can adjust the amount i get with the internal felt muffling thingy.
