Re: DW tom tuning help.

That is why I sold mine. They sounded great when in tune. Took too much time to get them there. They had to be tuned every gig or they sounded like crap. Life is too short to spend it tuning.

Re: The decline of the double stroke

Exactly how it should be. You should not be able to tell if it's a single or a double without seeing what's being played. I mix them in all over the place. They are alive and well.

I use a small blanket. Mainly just to cushion the mike that I just toss inside.

Depends on lots of things. Last band was all about the guitar player. If you played anything other than simple stuff, you were history.

Re: powered monitors

As I carried it in to the practice room last night, you should have seen the looks on the band mates faces. It was priceless. I think they said in unison, "WTF is THAT"! :-)

Re: Finding Other Musicians

Check the music stores in your area to see if they have a website. Some of them have a "musicians classified" section.

Re: bent hihat rod

It would be...

Re: powered monitors

I guess I should give a little more detail. As it is now I have a choice of vocals only,or 1 guitar and vocals. We are classic rock and can get somewhat loud.
