You can always just take out the hi-hat, or change it up another way. You don't always necessarily need to change from the hi-hats to the ride...You can maybe just keep the hi-hat going, or move to...

Hitting shots within a jazz groove. Even if I know exactly where the shot is...I still miss it...I think it's a mental thing more then a skill thing.

I haven't had any bad experience with Remo...It seems like Evans is just doing a better job marketing wise. They are promoted heavily in all the drumshops I go to. And the guys behind the counter...

I have done this in the studio on several occasions. It sounds great! can add a lot of nice ambient sounds during a softer bridge or breakdown chorus..good liuck convincing a violinist to let you...
