Re: Jazz Gretsch BOP Kits: Renown vs. New Classic

Here is another Renown Bop. Also, what do you think of the "proportionate shells" (New Classic)? USA Customs have no increasing thickness shells, I believe...

Re: Jazz Gretsch BOP Kits: Renown vs. New Classic

Just because I think the Renown bop version is less known, here are some cool pics I found. I just love the lacquer finishes, I hope Gretsch will add new lacquer finishes to the New Classics...

Re: LOW volume shells

YES! My decision is the Premier Heritage Club Kit. It's small-portable, and it's thin birch. Thanks all.

Re: LOW volume shells

I don't need it quiet, I was just wondering if there are kits less resonant than others. When I read "loudest drums I've ever played", it also means there must be "quieter", or "softer" drums than...

Here are some pictures of that Premier Aritst Birch Heritage in White Marine Pearl I found somewhere. Cool, but not as good looking as that dark walnut, I think.

Re: Need som advice choosing jazz drums.

Since we were comparing this kit with a Gretsch Catalina Club, I was thinking only about Silver Sparkle or White Marine Pearl finishes. Now I see that Dark Walnut I might go for this finish (I don´t...

Is this the 18x14 bebop Artist Birch Heritage, right? Looks beautiful. What about the bass drum and the snare? Sounds good?

You are right, problem is they have changed the look of their new silver sparkles finish, from the four years ago made in England to the new made in Taiwan. That's why I would consider a new kit in a...
