Yeah, I agree....
Don't go by what you see on the company's websites or online....
Great point on looking used, something to be said for "hands on"....I would look on local craigslist ads as well...

Hard to see so far away,(hard to make out badge) but to me...just a case of a Ludwig head on a DDRUM or another company's kit.....
Just the finishes I have seen on the ddrums......the colored...

Yes Nicko's foot is something ....I think the tune you may be talking about is "The Wickerman"....16ths strong and steady.....decent bpm clip too!

Some great points.....
I remember reading in many interviews/articles with some top drummers over the years (modern drummer) that they try to play the tune from the perspective of the listener....

I agree totally.....I have had this discussion with band members many times (mainly in my younger years). Luckily in the past 10 years or so, I have played with some great players and this subject...

I am definitely a fan of Weckl myself....and in his defense of any reference to sounding UNoriginal and mainstream etc.....
I think it's because he was so copied and mimicked and now he sounds like...
